Description
3M Scotchlite Reflective Sheeting Series 280 are highly durable, flexible, enclosed lens reflective sheeting for the production of attractive multicolor markings, displays, signs, and truck markings. These markings will have the same appearance in daylight and at night, even when viewed at wide entrance angles. The sheeting has good flexibility and provides excellent conformance to moderately curved surfaces. These sheetings have optimal cutting, weeding, lifting, and transfer properties when used with automated vinyl cutting machines, as well as optimal printing characteristics for use with our digital printing system.

280-85 Reflective Black: 5 Years
All others: 7 Years

Exceptions to the above

  • Continuous exposure in the hot desert regions of West Texas, New mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and parts of California should provide effective performance for at least three years.
  • Angular exposure greater than 30 degrees from vertical may decrease performance life by as much as two years.
  • Horizontal exposure is not recommended.

    • Shelf Life
    Unprinted film may be stored by the fabricator for a period of up to one year. Markings may be stored for an additional period of up to one year. Sheeting and markings must be stored in a clean area, free from excessive moisture and direct sunlight, with ambient temperatures of 100°F (38°C) or less.

    Flat surface without Rivets 55°F (13°C)
    Flat surfaces with Rivets 60°F (16°C)

    Note: This product is not recommended for application to corrugated surfaces with rivets.
